Mountaineers Check Tree Climbing Equipment for Sale
I was a member of the mountaineering club back in college and we went to different provinces every month to hike and go camping. One day, our club president announced that the next hike would be something different from our usual routine. Aside from hiking, we were going tree climbing. At first, we all laughed because we thought that he was just joking. Images of monkeys climbing trees entered our minds, and we were giggling uncontrollably. I mean, anyone can climb trees right?
Our club president, amused with our reaction, told us that we were not just climbing ANY tree. We will be climbing the Calophyllum inophyllum tree in the south which measures around 60 ft, so we will all be needed special tree climbing equipment. We all went to a sports store in the mall and fortunately, we saw tree climbing equipment for sale. I was surprised to see that the tree climbing gears were similar to those that we use for wall climbing; only more specialized for trees. We bought an auto locking carabiner, an ascending system, a full body harness, gloves, climbing helmets, and New England ropes.
The tree climbing expedition was an enjoyable and challenging experience. We all had sore muscles after.
